Vanishing Points is an installation conceived for the nocturnal site of a public garden. Two light projections on the floor are pointing a space where visitors tend to gather. This space is a listening area where one can perceive a sound environment constituted by the mixing of the normal rumor of the place and the addition of sound textures around the listener (who is unable to exactly know where those sounds are coming from). The sound matter used here is extracted form recordings done in and around the city where the installation takes place. Some elements are recognizable, some other are not, the aim of this work being to explore a sonic territory and condense this perceptive experience in a specific place.
