Redbone is a rock band created in 1969. The band was formed in Los Angeles, California by the brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas, two Native Americans, in 1968. Two other native americans joined them, Tony Bellamy on rythm guitar and Pete DePoe on drums. Playing rock music with latin, native american and jazz roots, they produced a few hits, among which the single Maggy, The Witchqueen of New Orleans and Come and Get Your Love. But all their records deserve to be rediscovered, even their last studio album, "cycles" in 1977, touching slowly the disco style, contains some wonderful songs ("gamble", "dancing bones"…)

Redbone is still active and has produced two new CDs, one with covers of their past standards and one with new compositions but it is very difficult to find.

Anyone who wants to help (infos, photos…) is welcome…
