FOREWORD
Welcome to the second issue of the Ideas Catalogue.
This catalogue contains ideas submitted by enthused readers from all over the world. We have ideas for artworks, events, exhibitions and interventions, as well as business ideas, ideas on how to behave, live, pay off your bills, be a total prat, keep your friends, save the earth... and a few alternative ways to use sugar!
There are crap ideas and great ideas. Some are deadly sincere and others bitterly ironic. You'll find fantasy and hope, ideas of political change and social comment...
So have a browse and if you find an idea that interests you (and suits your timeframe and budget) click on the link in the menu to the left to place an order. You can buy an idea for a variety of purposes: to own it as you would any artwork, as an investment or to hang on the wall... you can carry it out yourself... you can even incorporate the concept into another project. Once you buy an idea, you own the right to interpret it as you wish.
Thank you to all those who contributed their ideas to make such a fascinating and exciting issue - a testimony to the eclectic cultural climate in which we live. Our thanks also go to Sacha Design and Adrien Allen at Conical Inc for their help with the launch and to the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art for assistance with production.
Enjoy!
