Franck brought his love of fine French food and wine to Australia when he moved to Sydney in 1997.

He has since worked in the food and wine industries here and for the French Australian Chamber of Commerce, assisting French companies to establish markets in Australia.

Traditional French products

France Direct presents a selection of traditional French gourmet specialties to lovers of fine foods, including products normally difficult to source in Australia - duck foie gras, confit, cassoulet, truffles, rillettes, and more.

We are especially proud of our products from Les Canards du Val de Luce, a family business which specialises in duck products without preservatives or additives. Their foies gras won a medal at the French Agriculture Show in Paris (Salon de l'Agriculture) and frequently surpass other products in blind tastings in France.

Here in Australia our products are being acclaimed too. Our cassoulet with duck confit was highly praised in The Sydney Morning Herald's Good Living (March 2004) section and our foie gras with fig and sauternes wine jelly was featured in Vogue Entertaining and Travel (Christmas 2003).
